Where we work
Companies House deadline chasing for North and East London practices
We work with independent and owner managed accountancy practices, not national chains. A good deal of that work sits across North and East London, which is where we started and where most of our conversations still happen.
Districts we work across
Chingford and E4, Walthamstow and E17, Enfield and EN1 to EN3, Tottenham and N17, plus Leyton, Leytonstone, Wood Green, Edmonton, Woodford, Ilford, Hackney and the surrounding postcodes. If your practice sits anywhere in North or East London, you are in the middle of it.
Why the local book looks the way it does
Practices in this part of London tend to hold a high proportion of owner managed limited companies. Contractors, trades, small consultancies, family retail, one person service companies. Almost every one of those clients has a single individual who is both the director and the person with significant control of the same company.
That matters, because it is precisely that person who has to provide their personal code twice, once against each role, and precisely that person who most often believes the job was finished after the first time. The gap is explained here in full, with the Companies House wording quoted.
The practical effect is that a North and East London book is likely to be more exposed to this than a book weighted towards larger corporate clients, not less.
How we work with a local practice
- You send a list of client company numbers. Public data, so nothing confidential leaves your office.
- We send back a one page status report inside 48 hours, free, showing where your book actually stands.
- If it is useful, a fifteen minute conversation about the findings. If it is not, you keep the report and we stop emailing you.
- If you engage us, everything we send to your clients goes out under your brand, from templates you have approved, with your signed written authority on file.
What we do and do not do. Director Filing Desk is not an Authorised Corporate Service Provider, an accountancy firm, a filing agent or a company secretary. We do not carry out identity checks and we never will. We watch a list of company numbers on behalf of accountancy practices, spot what is due, and chase the people who have not acted. Nothing here is legal or tax advice. Always confirm the current position at GOV.UK.
